Every year of marriage should be celebrated, because any couple that's been married for a while knows that each year takes a LOT OF WORK! Am I right?
If you’re celebrating your first anniversary you most likely are planning an intimate dinner, or special night out, for just the two of you.
If you're celebrating many years together you are more likely to celebrate it with a party that includes friends and family members.
If you've been together long enough to celebrate a Silver Anniversary (25 years), Gold (50 years), or even Diamond (60 years in modern day, or 75 years traditionally) the you should definitely throw a party! Wow! Congratulations! Anyone that is able to stay together that long deserves it!
Whether you're planning a small get together or blowing it out with a big bash, you'll want to consider some of these cool ideas for your anniversary centerpieces, decorations, and other party supplies.
Let's get started!
What could be more romantic than a candlelit dinner for two?
Anniversary centerpieces like this one, showcasing gorgeous red roses against a black and white themed table, are simple yet stunning.

Anniversary centerpieces for 25 years, the silver anniversary, can be really simple to do. Anything silver, such as this candelabra, will work really well. Or, if you want to have fresh cream flowers for example, then arrange them in silver bowls.
Here's how to make it as shown:
• Use a gray tablecloth. Inexpensive plastic one shown here. White or cream with silver metallic threads would also work.
• Secure two rows of a pretty silver ribbon down center of table with a few pieces of tape. This looks best on rectangular tables. If round or square table is used, you can add two additional rows of ribbon in opposite direction, forming squares across table. Wider ribbon will look better. I also prefer using the wire edged ribbon, as it gives you more control over it when using it for bows and such.
• Silver candelabra is the centerpiece of this table setting, along with a silver bowl, which could be used for mints, butter, candies….whatever. Or if you’d prefer, you could make a small arrangement of white roses or carnations to display in the bowl.
• Silver glitter is sprinkled down center of table for extra sparkle.
• Pretty place cards along the ribbon, a cute sign with “25 Years” on it, or the couple’s names, could be added. Also, white, clear, or silver rimmed plates and dishes work nicely with the overall silver theme. Silver photo frames with pictures of the couple would be another great touch. Try to personalize it for the couple being celebrated.
For 50th or 60th anniversary centerpieces:
For a 50th anniversary swap gold tones for the silver.
For a 60th anniversary just add diamond confetti scattered around table.

I love the idea of balloons at a party! If you are looking for inexpensive anniversary centerpieces then consider making a balloon centerpiece by adding a simple balloon weight. They can also be added as part of other decorations in the room:
For a cute anniversary party favor, fill a jar or favor bag with candy or mints for guests to take home. Or, fill a tall clear vase or small fish bowl with these mints and place one on each table to enjoy at the party:
Since the 50th Anniversary is the Golden Anniversary your decorations should include gold colors. There are many ways you can do this. Use gold or a golden yellow color for the napkins. Sprinkle gold confetti on the table. Include gold candles on the table. Make golden anniversary centerpieces. Here are some ideas for you to consider:
I love the idea of personalizing the wine bottles! Place 1 or 2 bottles of wine, where the labels have been replaced with these, on each table for guests to enjoy!
Flowers will always look beautiful on the table. If you're thinking about using fresh flowers for your anniversary centerpieces, why not give the table a little more oomph! with this 50 confetti scattered around it? This confetti would also be great for a 50th birthday party.
You can't go wrong with these mints. Give them out to guests in cute favor boxes or place in a bowl.
Cupcake trees or Cupcake bouquets make great anniversary centerpieces! Place one in the center of each table where guests can help themselves, or include them on a dessert buffet table. These cute picks are a quick & easy way to decorate them for a 50th anniversary.
Cash always works well as a gift! It may not seem very personal, but it allows the recipient to purchase something they really want or need. Here's a cute, and more secure way, to accept cash at your anniversary party. Place one of these on the gift table to collect the cards so they won't get lost amongst all the gifts.
Jewelry doesn't have to be expensive just because it's an anniversary gift. These pieces here are relatively inexpensive and they can be engraved to personalize them, too. I've purchase many items from this jewelry company and was very satisfied with what I received. The only thing I will say, is that I wouldn't get the engraving done in the black ink, at least not on any rings. It seemed to wear off, although the engraving remained. The rest of the pieces, without the black, look great!
